If you’re like me, you’ve probably dabbled in some manifestation practices here and there, like visualization or affirmations. But have you thought about working with moon phases to supercharge your manifesting mojo?

Moon manifesting can be a powerful practice. And don’t worry, you don’t have to be a witchy moon goddess to do it (although, if you are, that’s pretty freaking cool).

In this post, I’ll share easy practices that have helped me make the most of each main moon phase to attract abundance, positivity, and all-around good vibes.

Understanding the Moon Phases

Before we can start using the moon to our manifesting advantage, we need to understand the different phases and what they represent.

There are eight phases of the moon, and each one has a unique vibe and energy. Each phase plays a role in the manifestation process, from the new moon to the full moon and everything in between.

But for the sake of simplicity, I’m going to be sharing practical moon manifesting practices for 4 main moon phases: the new moon, the waxing moon, the full moon, and the waning moon.

New Moon: Setting Intentions

The new moon is a powerful time for setting intentions and planting the seeds of our desires. It’s the perfect time to get clear on what we want to manifest and create a plan of action to make it happen.

So, how can we make the most of the new moon phase? Here are a few tips to get you started:

Journaling

Grab your favorite notebook and start writing down your intentions. Be specific and clear about what you want to manifest, and why it’s important. You can also use this time to reflect on any limiting beliefs or fears that may be holding you back, and write down affirmations to counteract them.

Visualization

Close your eyes and visualize yourself already having achieved your goals. See yourself in vivid detail, feeling the emotions that come with accomplishing what you want. The more you can connect with this vision, the more powerful your manifestation will be.

Create a Vision Board

Get crafty and create a visual representation of your desires. Use images, words, and colors that inspire you and represent what you want to manifest. Display your vision board somewhere you’ll see it often, and use it as a reminder of your intentions.

Attract Abundance and Positivity

Alright, now that we’ve set our intentions during the new moon phase, it’s time to take action during the waxing moon phase. The waxing moon phase is the time between the new moon and the full moon, and it’s a period of growth and expansion.

During this phase, the energy of the new moon amplifies and gains momentum, and our intentions begin to take shape. It’s the perfect time to take action toward our desires and use the energy of the waxing moon to help manifest them into reality.

Taking action during the waxing moon phase is crucial to the moon manifesting process. It shows the universe that we are serious about our desires, and it helps to align our energy with the energy of our intentions.

During the full moon phase, we can tap into the energy of the moon to release negative patterns or limiting beliefs that may be holding us back from manifesting our desires. By letting go of what no longer serves us, we create space for new opportunities and abundance to flow into our lives.

To release what no longer serves us during the full moon phase, try some of the following practices:

Journaling

Take some time to reflect on what you want to release. Write down any negative patterns or limiting beliefs that may be holding you back. Then, write a letter to the universe stating that you are releasing these patterns and beliefs.

Meditation

Use the energy of the full moon to connect with your higher self and release what no longer serves you. Find a quiet space, light a candle, and meditate on releasing any negative energy or beliefs.

Rituals

Create a full moon release ritual that feels aligned with your beliefs and intentions. This could include burning sage or incense, using crystals, or performing a releasing ceremony.

How to create your own full moon releasing ritual:

Set the space

Create a calm and peaceful environment for your ritual. You may want to light candles, burn incense or sage, or play soothing music.

Meditate

Take some time to connect with yourself and set your intentions for the ritual. You can use a guided meditation or simply sit in silence and focus on your breath.

Write down what you want to release

Take a pen and paper and write down anything that you want to release, such as negative patterns, limiting beliefs, or any emotional baggage.

Perform a release ceremony

There are many different ways to perform a release ceremony, depending on your personal beliefs and practices. My personal favorite is to burn my written limitations in a fire-safe container, but you could also bury them in the earth, or release them into a body of water.

Express gratitude

After releasing what no longer serves you, take some time to express gratitude for the abundance and positivity that you want to invite into your life.

Remember, a full moon ritual is a personal and unique experience, so tailor it to your individual needs and preferences. With a little bit of creativity and intention, you can create a powerful and transformative full moon ritual that helps you manifest your desires.

Waning Moon: Gratitude and Reflection

The waning moon phase is the time between the full moon and the next new moon.  It’s a time for introspection, reflection, and expressing gratitude for all the blessings in our lives. 

Here are some examples of practices that you can use during this phase:

Journaling

Take some time to reflect on the past month and write down any lessons, insights, or accomplishments. You can also write down things that you are grateful for and express your appreciation for the abundance in your life.

Meditation

Use this time to go inward and connect with your inner wisdom. You can use a guided meditation or simply sit in silence and focus on your breath. Pay attention to any little nudges you get on what to adjust in your plans for achieving your goals.

Gratitude lists

Make a list of all the things you are grateful for, big or small. Focusing on the positive aspects of your life can help shift your energy and attract more positivity.

Reflecting on what you’re grateful for is a powerful way to attract more positivity and abundance into your life. When we focus on the good things in our lives, we shift our energy to a more positive frequency, which in turn attracts more positive experiences and opportunities.

So, take some time during the waning moon phase to reflect on what you’re grateful for, big or small. It could be as simple as the sunshine on your face or a kind word from a friend. By focusing on the good, you’ll attract more positivity and abundance into your life, and you’ll be well on your way to manifesting your heart’s desires.
